3D render

The owners wanted their living-room wall to hold the television, the books and the clutter that collects around a sofa, without feeling heavy.

What we built

  • A low TV bench across the middle, with drawers for remotes, cables and games.
  • Two tall cabinets either side, each with a top box stacked on it to reach the ceiling. The top boxes hold things used less often.
  • A wall-hung shelf unit floating between the tall cabinets above the TV, with clear space beneath it so the wall does not feel boxed in.

The floating unit hangs on the wall with its back flush to the wall, lined up with the tops of the cabinets beside it. Cable routes were planned before anything was fitted, so the wiring to the TV is out of sight.

Sample project on the Closetforge demo site. The pictures are 3D renders of the design, not photographs of a fitted wardrobe.

The design and the build

This is the design we drew for this job. Open it in 3D, turn it around, and start your own from it.

Questions about this project

Why stack top boxes on the tall cabinets?
It reaches the ceiling without one very tall cabinet, which is easier to make, deliver and fit.
How are the cables hidden?
We plan the cable routes before fitting so the wiring runs behind the units.
