A couple turned a small spare bedroom into a dressing room and wanted storage on three walls, with a clear walkway in the middle.
What we built
- Three walls of open storage in a U-shape, leaving about 900 mm to walk between the runs.
- Corner shelves where the walls meet, so the corners hold folded clothes instead of becoming dead space.
- Hanging on all three walls, over a bank of drawers on the left, beside lit shelving on the back wall, and over a shoe rack on the right.
- Warm LED lighting over the display shelves on the back wall.
The runs are open, without doors, which keeps the room easy to use and was more economical. We placed the drawers away from the corners so they open without catching each other.
Planning started with the owners measuring their existing hanging in metres, which told us how much rail they needed before we drew anything.
